STEP 1: Create a diagonal triangle at front of the hair (temple area to crown) using the CarbonLite Metal Tail Comb (CL-3), to create a side swoop bang.
STEP 2: Spray the bang with hair spray. Section the bang in 2-3 sections, (depending on density and length) curling the hair with the Titanium + ion 1 1/4" Curling Iron and pin the hair using the Double clips to set the curls.
STEP 3: For the back section of the hair, use blow out cream throughout the hair and blow dry the hair using the Ceramic + ion Blow Dryer.
STEP 4: Depending on the texture, if needed flat iron the hair for a smooth finish with the Ceramic + ion Flat Iron.
STEP 5: Split the hair horizontally in 2 sections, and clip the top section away. Starting at the bottom section, split the section in 2 vertical sections. Twist both sections towards the center of the head at the occipital area, once twisted, tie the 2 sections together and clip to the side. Start the top section by splitting it vertically into 2 sections. Twist both sections towards the center of the head above the bottom section, once twisted tie the two sections together and clip to the side.
STEP 6: Start to combine both top and bottom sections by tying 2 twist into a knot working your way up until all the hair is tied together. Creating a knotted twist into a bun, use bobby pins to secure the twist in place.
STEP 7: Remove clips from the bang area, brush curls together into a side swoop bang. Create a pin curl at the end of the hair pinning the it in place above the ear. Place decorative pins inside the pin-curl. Spray the hair with hair spray. Use the Titanium + ion 1 1/4" Curling Iron to seal the flyaways.

INSPIRATION: The look for Tanya Taylor was simple and delicate, with a little something extra. We wanted the hair to remain messy and natural, nothing too polished.
STEP 1: Begin with dry natural hair and brush hair straight back using the OG Fine-Medium Detangler Brush.
STEP 2: Apply a dry texturizing spray to the roots and begin to tease hair gently using the Private Collection Thermal Brush.
STEP 3: Next, apply the dry texturizing spray throughout the rest of the hair and brush through. Use the Ceramic + ion Hair Dryer on low heat and the CarboSilk Comb to gently disperse product throughout hair and use the comb to lightly tease.
STEP 5: Next, use the OG Fine-Medium Detangler Brush to brush any unwanted knots at the ends of hair. Tie hair back into ponytail, leaving the top messy and teased. Secure with elastic. Once hair is secure, use the Style-Up Combo Teasing Brush to loosely pull up pieces on the top of the head for added texture.
STEP 6: Apply small amount of texturizing cream to the ponytail and begin to loop hair through the hair piece two times. Lastly, once hair is set in the clip, gently turn the piece so that it sits in a diamond shape at the back of the head and allow pieces to fall naturally.

INSPIRATION: The look for Marina Moscone show was to represent an individualist look – easy and understated. We wanted the models to each have an individual style from their dress to their hair. We left some hair natural and then created a sleek half up for others.
TIPS/TECHNIQUE:
STEP 1: I started Gemma with dry hair and began to brush her strands out with the iDetangle Brush to get rid of any unwanted knots. I then sprayed a generous amount of the volume Spray all around Gemma’s crown and face to create texture. Next, I started to blowout Gemma’s hair using the Ceramic + ion Hair Dryer. As I was blow drying, I used the EcoHair Brush to continue to create volume around Gemma’s face. Since we wanted to make sure there was enough texture throughout Gemma’s hair, I sprayed the Dry Shampoo to even out softness and volume.
STEP 2: Once Gemma’s hair was fully blown out and had enough volume, I use a ¾ inch barrel curling iron and slowly wrapped pieces of hair around it while letting them down gently with my hands to create messy waves. I then applied a small amount of the Dry Shampoo Texturizing Paste into the palms of my hands and began to add it to the crown and back part of Gemma’s hair to reduce any frizz. I used the Style-Up Folding Teasing Brush to ensure the product was evenly distributed. Once Gemma’s waves were complete, I gathered her hair into a low ponytail and secured it with a thin elastic right at the back of her neck. Once the ponytail was secured, I started to twist a few pieces of the pony tail creating a lose knot right above the nape of neck. Since we wanted this look to feel effortless, I made sure to leave a few stray pieces that would fall naturally. To finish off the look, I sprayed the Hairspray all over to ensure hold throughout the night.
STEP 1: Begin with dry natural hair and use the EcoHair Combo Paddle Brush to brush out.
STEP 2: Apply mousse and section it with the Double Clips to create body.
STEP 3: Next, use the Ceramic + ion Hair Dryer to blow dry the hair and evenly distribute product throughout using the FingerBrush.
STEP 4: Once product is dispersed, take the hair at the center and upper part of the head and gently brush it back with the Ceramic + ion Supreme Combo Brush smoothing all bumps.
STEP 5: Then gather the hair and secure gently with a thin elastic leaving the remaining hair down and behind the ears.
STEP 6: Lastly, apply hair spray to tame flyaways.

STEP 1: Start by blow drying hair with the Ceramic + ion Hair Dryer.
STEP 2: Use the CarboSilk Comb to section hair 1” from hairline and 1/4"-1/2” away from scalp.
STEP 3: Use Double Clips to create as many sections for hair extension and place them in a brick lay pattern. Use soft cutting-techniques to blend the hair extension into all pieces of natural hair.
STEP 4: To create a natural wave, apply hair spray and let hair set naturally.
STEP 5: Start braiding random sections of hair towards the middle of the crown. Then apply a small amount of hair spray on the ends of the braids and backcomb gently to keep braids in place.
STEP 7: Using a flat iron, apply light pressure in a tapping motion from top to bottom of the braid, creating heat throughout each braid. Let braids cool and begin to separate them gently with fingers. Keep some braids intact and pull some strands out working through section by section to create more crimp. Then apply a small amount of hair spray to any smooth flyaways.

INSPIRATION: For the first show, the Agathe Ruiz de la Prada presentation, the models had to wear something that was easy to break down for the following shows. The inspiration was if “the model was coming fresh out of the shower with a silky shine.” Agatha’s characteristic “Heart Crown” was included on top as an added touch. For the presentations to follow, the Edwin’s D Angelo, Franzisko Saez, Diego Dominguez, Eduardo Cerda and Benito Santos presentations, the look was an effortless ponytail that portrayed the “back from the beach” rough texture look.

Crown Braid with Soft Waves (Couture Collection)
STEP 1: Prep hair with Texture Creation Cream. Apply a nickel to quarter-sized amount of the product, drying specifically into the roots to create some volume, and add grit to the hair for braiding.
STEP 2: Create a clean center part using a CarboSilk Technical & Chemical Comb.
STEP 3: Off of the center part, create a triangle section of hair on both sides – the front of the part is the first point, the second point being behind the ear, and the third point being at the highest point of the head. Section away using Double Clip.
STEP 4: On each side/each triangle, begin braiding (inverted braid) taking each section diagonal forward. Secure each strand with an elastic.
STEP 5: Use hands to slightly loosen braids before joining the braids in the back to create a crown braid (making sure to conceal the elastics). Use U-pins to secure.
STEP 6: On the rest of the hair that is left out, take a flat iron in an S-wave pattern to create loose waves. Once the whole head is ironed, apply Finishing Spray for texture and dimension.
STEP 1: Section hair from ear to ear horizontally (split from front to back) to divide head into two sections, top and bottom. Create two high ponytails.
STEP 2: Take the top, front section and smooth into a high pony. Appy hair spray into Ceramic + Ion Supreme Paddle Brush to help smooth hair back. Secure with an elastic cord.
STEP 3: Take the back section and also smooth into a high pony, positioned just below the first ponytail from the top section. Secure with an elastic cord.
STEP 4: Apply hair spray into the ponytails to build texture.
STEP 5: Subsection the ponytails and softly tease with a Style-Up Teasing Brush each section from roots to end. Go over each section very lightly with a flat iron to flatten it out a bit, creating “panels.”
STEP 6: Apply hair spray to create a workable hold and wrap each panel around clockwise, creating a soft twisted bun. Continue to layer the panels in this fashion and use U-pins to secure those panels in place.
STEP 7: Apply hair spray on a small makeup brush to help tame flyaways.

For all 3 looks: First prep the hair with styling product and use a Ceramic + Ion Round Brush to softly blow dry texture in the hair using a hair dryer. Next use curling irons of various size 3/4"-1 1/4" to put some loose, easy, perfectly imperfect waves into the hair.
First look: Create a side part sectioned with a CarboSilk Comb & some texturizing cream smoothed on the side. Then tuck hair behind the ear. Tease & backcomb throughout the parietal ridge area & crown to add lift & volume. (We also gave some models a graphic center part using the CarboSilk Comb.)
Second look: Loose low pony with a side part and some wispy hair left billowing around the face.
Third look: Half-up relaxed top-knot using hair sectioned from above the parietal ridge.
For all 3 looks: Hair was finished with hairspray & texturizing creme to enhance the texture throughout.
