Hair Stylist: Matthew Curtis

STEP 1: Create a diagonal triangle at front of the hair (temple area to crown) using the CarbonLite Metal Tail Comb (CL-3), to create a side swoop bang.
STEP 2: Spray the bang with hair spray. Section the bang in 2-3 sections, (depending on density and length) curling the hair with the Titanium + ion 1 1/4" Curling Iron and pin the hair using the Double clips to set the curls.
STEP 3: For the back section of the hair, use blow out cream throughout the hair and blow dry the hair using the Ceramic + ion Blow Dryer.
STEP 4: Depending on the texture, if needed flat iron the hair for a smooth finish with the Ceramic + ion Flat Iron.
STEP 5: Split the hair horizontally in 2 sections, and clip the top section away. Starting at the bottom section, split the section in 2 vertical sections. Twist both sections towards the center of the head at the occipital area, once twisted, tie the 2 sections together and clip to the side. Start the top section by splitting it vertically into 2 sections. Twist both sections towards the center of the head above the bottom section, once twisted tie the two sections together and clip to the side.
STEP 6: Start to combine both top and bottom sections by tying 2 twist into a knot working your way up until all the hair is tied together. Creating a knotted twist into a bun, use bobby pins to secure the twist in place.
STEP 7: Remove clips from the bang area, brush curls together into a side swoop bang. Create a pin curl at the end of the hair pinning the it in place above the ear. Place decorative pins inside the pin-curl. Spray the hair with hair spray. Use the Titanium + ion 1 1/4" Curling Iron to seal the flyaways.
STEP 8: Depending on the texture, if needed flat iron the hair for a smooth finish with the Ceramic + ion Flat Iron.
