WHO: Actress Aubrey Plaza

INSPIRATION: When I saw the custom Louis Vuitton gown Aubrey Plaza was wearing to the Critics’ Choice Awards, I was overwhelmed with inspiration and immediately started pulling reference photos from the 90s. I wanted her hair to look and feel effortless while still being carpet ready.
TIPS/TECHNIQUE: I prepped Aubrey’s hair by spraying Leave-In Conditioner throughout her damp hair to get some much-needed hydration and also protect her hair from the heat styling tools I use. I then moved onto blow drying her hair with the Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Hair Dryer which I love because I can control the heat setting and air flow. I kept the airflow on high and heat on low to quickly blow dry the hair while protecting her new color. I also used the Olivia Garden Nano Thermic Ceramic + Ion Round Thermal Brush to created volume at the root with a smooth finish. Next, I used the Olivia Garden Titanium + Ion Flat Iron to get the hair super sleek for the updo. I love how this flat iron allows me to adjust the heat depending on the coarseness of the hair so I keep the temperature set to 310°F or below when styling Aubrey’s Hair.
Then, I added a few pumps of the Hair Oil in my hands and raked the product through her hair from roots to ends to get tons of shine in the hair and ensure her hair stays frizz free. Next, I gathered her hair into a French twist in the back while leaving the ends loose and securing with a dozen hairpins. For the final touch I took a few more pumps of the Hair Oil in my hands and used Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Supreme 100% Boar Brush to brush the oil on to the hair on the sides and top to add unbelievable shine.
