HAIR BY: Celebrity Hairstylist Marcus Francis for Olivia Garden
INSPIRATION: Julianne’s look tonight was inspired by her Tom Ford gown. We wanted to emulate the elegance and class of the ivory dress by keeping her hairstyle timeless with effortlessly cool locks.
TIPS/TECHNIQUE: To achieve this look, I prepped hair by washing with Shampoo and Conditioner to create sleek strands and minimize frizz, especially with this drizzly weather. I then prepped Julianne’s hair with Ultralight Smooth Frizz Defy Cream Serum followed by Leave-In Spray from roots to ends, and combed it through the hair with Olivia Garden CarbonLite Detangling Comb to evenly distribute the product before adding the Mousse Plus Volumizing Foam to maintain volume throughout.
Following the hair prep, I sectioned off her hair and started drying it using the Olivia Garden Ceramic + ion Hair Dryer and Olivia Garden NanoThermic Round Brush to create volume and a flawless blown out look.
I then teased the crown of her hair using the Olivia Garden Style-Up Folding Teasing Brush before setting it in a pin curl. I then used the Olivia Garden Titanium + ion Curling Iron on the rest of Julianne’s hair to create a 60’s textured roll and let the curls set.
To finish off the look, I spritzed each pinned section with Hair Spray and swept the hair across her forehead. I sealed the flyaways and ends using the Ultralight Smooth Frizz Defy Cream Serum and locked in the look by spraying Finishing Mist all over to hold the style in place all night long.
