WHO: Miranda Lambert and Elle King

INSPIRATION: Both looks tonight were inspired by the wardrobe, since the outfits were simple and chic, little black dress vibes, we wanted the hair to match. The inspiration for Miranda’s look was a 70’s vibe with her custom denim suit and for Elle we wanted a look that seemed effortless, yet sleek so we went with beachy waves.
MIRANDA TIPS/TECHNIQUE: Following the hair prep, I sectioned off Miranda’s hair and started drying it using the Olivia Garden Ceramic + ion Hair Dryer and Olivia Garden NanoThermic Round Brush to create volume and a flawless blown out look. I then teased the crown of her hair using the Olivia Garden Style-Up Folding Teasing Brush to add some texture to the top so that it would not appear flat. Before straightening Miranda’s strands, I added a few clip-in extensions to camouflage the layers for more of a one length look. I then went in with the Olivia Garden Ceramic + ion Flat Iron and gently went through all of Miranda’s hair straightening each piece. I finished off by gently brushing through her strands using the Olivia Garden Fingerbrush.
ELLE TIPS/TECHNIQUE: Since we wanted Elle’s look to last all night, we decided on a textured wave with a few clip in extensions for fullness and length. I prepped Elle’s hair by first brushing it out using the Olivia Garden OG Brush to remove any tangles or knots. I then gave her a fresh blowout using the Olivia Garden Ceramic + ion Hair Dryer which created volume throughout. I then used the Olivia Garden Titanium + ion Curling Iron to create effortless waves by moving the tool in an up-and-down motion which created a very cool and irregular wave.
